Mang Den, Kon Tum

Mang Den is a town in Kon Plong district, Kon Tum province, with pristine forests as well as many lakes and waterfalls. Kon Tum Cathedral, also known as the Wood Church, was erected in 1913 by French priests and now serves as the cathedral where the throne of the diocese of Kon Tum is located. This Roman-style chapel combined with Ba Na’s stilt-style architecture – a combination of European style and the culture of the Central Highlands of Vietnam. The special thing of this project is made entirely of wood, not using reinforced concrete and mortar to paint plaster. The architectural details here are meticulously carved to make up the natural beauty and the heroic spirit of indigenous people.

Bien Ho (Lake T’Nung), Pleiku

Bien Ho (Lake T’Nung) is one of the most beautiful and romantic lakes in the Central Highlands. This lake is formed from a volcanic crater, looking forever away from the shore. People considere Bien Ho as the eyes of the people of Gia Lai in general and of the people of Pleiku in particular.
